Until October 20,2020, I lived with my husband, Robert (Bob) Rose, in Louisville, Kentucky. We married in 1983, when Bob was in the US NAVY. We chose to discharge from the NAVY in 1985 and settled in Louisville, Kentucky. Bob held a BS in Management Information Systems from Sullivan University and an MBA from Webster University. He managed electric distribution at Louisville, Gas and Electric and was with LG&E for 35 years in various positions from IT to Management.
Our son, David, graduated from Western Kentucky University majoring in Broadcast Communication and minoring in English in May 2009. He completed a Master of Arts degree at University of the Cumberlands and is currently teaching English at Bullitt County Central High School. He completed a Ph.D. from University of the Cumberlands in December 2021.
Our daughter, Lauren, married Anthony (Tony) Brown on 07-07-07. She graduated from University of Kentucky in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. She is currently a stay at home for Olivia, Noah, and Sam. Tony graduated from University of Kentucky with a Pharmacy Doctorate and is currently practicing at Family Health Centers in Louisville, Kentucky.
On October 20,2020, my life profoundly changed, I lost this amazing man. I was 19, and he was 21 in 1983, so we literally grew up together. We raised a family together and had a wonderful journey. We weren't ready for it to be over. Hence, this site took on new meaning in sharing not only counseling lessons, but the lessons I am learning through this grief experience.
